enriching student life
The University of Washington’s Terry and Maple Residence Halls create spaces for students to live, learn, and connect—while also serving as a campus center for conferencing and gaming.
Unified lighting enhances the animated environment of the activity center with multiple layers to provide task illumination for games, and comfortable ambient levels for gathering and relaxing. Outside, lighting highlights legible pathways between adjoining buildings and enhances social gathering at courtyards.
At under 0.7 w/sf, the project supports student activities in a sustainable way and contributes to the project's LEED Gold certification.
